The Woman Behind The Scenes
Non-Toxic Resources was founded by Allyson (Ally) to help families pursue cleaner, more attainable living. What started as a small Facebook community has grown into a growing resource hub for product research, swaps, and practical guidance. Learn more about the people connected to the project below.
Allyson
Allyson (Ally) is the founder of Non-Toxic Resources LLC and the primary researcher, writer, and community leader behind the platform. Ally is a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom. She is passionate about helping families pursue cleaner living in a way that feels easier, more attainable, and truly sustainable—without the pressure of all-or-nothing thinking or fear-based wellness.
Her journey into low-toxic living grew out of personal experiences with hormonal issues after a turbulent childhood, a fascination for research, and, after getting pregnant in 2022, wanting the very best for her children and household. Ally believes education should bring clarity and confidence, not overwhelm, and that there is great value in nuance when it comes to health, ingredients, and everyday choices.
Faith is central to who Ally is. She loves the Lord, is happily married, and believes caring for our bodies and homes is one way to gently steward what we’ve been given—without striving for perfection. Her heart is to reduce stress and stigma around low-toxic living, explain the gray areas with honesty, and support others as they make changes at their own pace.
Ally is drawn to slower, more nourishing rhythms of life—making homemade bread, preparing nourishing foods, and creating a home that feels calm and grounding. She enjoys warm drinks, reading and audiobooks, gathering with friends, homeschooling, and soaking in the beauty of the Rocky Mountains. These simple rhythms shape the way she approaches wellness: rooted, practical, and supportive of real life.
Through Non-Toxic Resources, Ally’s goal is to make cleaner living feel approachable and realistic—something that fits into everyday life while supporting both physical health and nervous system regulation. She believes true wellness should feel life-giving and peaceful, not rigid or consuming
Meet My Group Admin
Taryn is an early supporter of the Non-Toxic Resources mission and is co-admin of the Facebook community. Taryn is a stay at home mama who’s been passionate about living a cleaner lifestyle since becoming pregnant in 2018. After navigating life as a military spouse for eight years, Taryn is now serving alongside her husband in ministry at their local church. Taryn is a fan of the arts as she pursued and received her Bachelors and Masters of Fine Arts in Dance, and continues to pursue that passion through teaching dance at a local studio to ages ranging from elementary through high school. Some other passions of Taryn are birth, as she has grown up understanding physiological birth through her mother’s experience with five children, and Taryn having two home births of her own. Because of this she pursued becoming a doula and has severed several women since the beginning of 2025. Taryn enjoys reading historical fiction, fantasy, sitting down and enjoying a warm cup of coffee with friends, homeschooling her children, and going on adventures with her family. Additionally, Taryn thoroughly enjoys walking with others through their own journeys of living a cleaner lifestyle.
What I Do
I research, vet, and share non-toxic and low-tox products, brands, and practices that prioritize clean ingredients, proper processing, safer formulas, and transparency.
My goal is not purity — it’s progress.
You’ll find resources for:
- Home & laundry
- Personal care & skincare
- Baby & family products
- Food & kitchen swaps
- Hormone-conscious living
- Supplements
- And so much more
What “Non-Toxic” Means Here
I don’t rely on buzzwords or greenwashing.
When I say non-toxic, I mean:
- No known endocrine disruptors where alternatives exist
- No unnecessary fragrances or fillers
- No marketing fluff without ingredient proof
- Products that respect human health
I prioritize ingredient lists over marketing claims — always.
What I Don’t Do
Let’s be clear:
- I don’t expect perfection.
- I don’t promote fear-based wellness.
- I don’t believe you need to throw everything out overnight.
Low-tox living should lower stress, not raise cortisol.
Who This Is For
Non-Toxic Resources is for:
- Parents trying to make safer choices without losing their minds
- Anyone healing hormones, burnout, or chronic stress
- People tired of “clean” products that don’t actually work
- Those who want better options without going extreme
If you’re aiming for better, not perfect — welcome 🤍
My Philosophy
Small swaps add up.
Education is empowering.
Your nervous system matters.
And living well shouldn’t feel like another full-time job.
Thanks for being here — we’re glad you found my little corner of the internet!
